When you purchase piecemeal antivirus products from multiple vendors, the cost skyrockets. We're a small city govt with a tight budget and only the antivirus suites are affordable. For a network our size, the average purchase cost of the suites (to cover all workstations and servers) with a year of maintenance/upgrades is around half the price of buying individual products for workstations, fileservers and messaging servers.
